Yes.. in 1982 I bought this Montero with soft-top, then I bought the fiberglass hard-top. Right now it is difficult to remove the Fiber glass top but I will make some clamps like the Jeep Rubicon or TJ in order to get it removable,

I will take some pics about the fiber glass top.. and will post them here.

What do you think abouts changes so far?.

Thanks

Looks great, love the rims <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I like it allot! I may have to make a stop at my local pull-a-part and see if I can find a back seat. I wonder if the front seats from a newer model Montero will fit in a gen I???

Hmmm, now you got me thinking. Since cold weather is heading this way to the good old south I think I am going to do some wrenching and see if my wife's Gen III fit.

Yes. Only need to redrill two holes on each seat. The tracks are the same width, but the hole spacings front to back are different.

Jorge, did you use the seat itself and mount to the original Gen I's base mechanism? I am thinking you did, and that's where I missed. I compared the Gen II base and it will not fit. Somehow I stupidly never thought about mounting the seat to the Gen I base. I say stupidly, as that is exactly what I did with the Gen II 3rd rows that I have in.

My kids would like cupholders...
