Is there any companies that make just the coil spring mounts for a conversion on an xj? And what is the difference in spring height of rubicon springs(front) and xj front springs? I managed to find a set of rubicon springs that are supposidly 1 in taller than stock for 10 bucks for the set
.now if thats 1 in taller than a reg tj or 1 in taller than stock rubicon I have no idea, but i think the will be taller than the ones on mine now.

TRUST me on this.. The Rubi springs are zackly the same as all other tj springs. I KNOW this because I measured my bumper height front and rear before installing a NEW set of Rubi springs and then after... NO height gain. I did get new springs and shocks but no difference in height.

BTW I measured 2 minutes before jacking up the Wrangler and then again 2 minutes after the install. All I did was jump up and down on the bumpers before remeasuring.. The measurement was done in the SAME place the jeep was in all during the changeover.

Did you take into account the effect of global warming on your measuring stick? You know in the time that it took you to do the swap, the earth heated up a bit which caused expansion of your measuring stick which is why you didn't see any increase in height.

Yea but are they a different height than the xj? If you still have the...what do i mean if you keep everything just in case <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> can you measure the old tj front springs and give me a height on them please. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Cuervo I don't got em anymore... I put em in the trash the same day I took em out.
But they are all over the place. Someone else can measure theirs for you I'm sure.

I had this conversation with nthDegree a couple of years ago.

Springs are the same in length...

However, there are springs with different spring rates...

There are "softer" springs that will ride lower when installed.

The stiffer springs will ride higher when installed.
