Amy my stock tj with them same 30 X 9.50 tires on it does fine in the wilderness and on the highway. By placeing taller tires on it I would lose 2 or 3 or even more miles per gallon and would lose horsepower on the highway.. So I don't plan on changing tire size. The cost, other than the tires, is too high for me.
Lots of young people put tall tires on their ride and think it LOOKS good... They don't understand that the Jeep, or whatever, is engineered to use a certain tire size. Changing tire size changes a LOT more than just the LOOK of the vehicle.

X2 and to bring you up on the times BJ anyone that just raises a vehicle, but don't go four wheeling, builds a high perfomance car but don't raise it, or where the term really came from dresses like and carries a skateboard around but don't skate are called posers. that being said the only reason to lift anything, add bigger tires ,change the gearing(which you WILL have to do) is if you use it offroad.
Seeing that more than likely (happened many times before) that you will ignore us and do it anyway we will break this down.I THINK your rims are 8 in wide the widest i think you can put on safely is 11 in maybe 12 in wide and as high as they make em, now the biggest that will fit on your jeep and still have room where it wont rub on anything I would say 31 x 10.50.
Once again if your not wheeling it don't do it. however if you plan on wheeling it there are other things that should come long before bigger tires. research the net on what to do,how to build a rig the right way and so on.
