well there's two different flashlights that come in monteros so maybe if you got the bigger one, you won't get the small one in the tool kit. My '99 came with the bigger one, so i have the hex deal.

I have a Gen I and have no flashlight and have no idea what small and large flashlights are. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
I hope the German flashlights here work in a Japanese Truck with American batteries, if I can find the correct size. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

yeah, I think they all came with the light that plugs into accessory socket, it is called an 'inspection light' according to parts catalogs.

I personally like the hex tool better, one less thing to break or leak battery acid. but the only way to get that is by ordering the whole kit.

gen I monteros did not come with either inspection lights or flash lights sometimes called torches. at any rate, the gen I monteros came with a tire iron under 2nd row seat and extra lug nut. we have an old 91 montero we had since new, that is how I know.

ok, after all searching and finding, for all 5 of our gen II monteros, we found all the tools we need except one: the screw driver bit and handle (two part tool). Here is a list of extra tools I have and am willing to trade for the screwdriver tool:

lug nut wrench with handle x2
hub cover removal tool x2
pliers x1
sun roof tool x1
17mm / 14mm open end wrench x2
10mm / 12mm open end wrench x1

If anyone has a screwdriver that is not broke in anyway, I am interested in either purchasing or trading.

Thanks for any help.

Scottie
