Was it tested under a load???

IMHO, the battery testing equipment in most shops is not sufficient to really tell if a battery is good.

I fought with Sears on a battery they claimed was good on their tester. I had them use another tester which showed the battery as bad.

If you drained the battery, it could take a charge but it may not have enough capacity to fire the engine.

Also, WRT cables, make sure you have a good ground connection between the negative post, car body and engine.
