With the move to Monterey, I want to buy a kayak to take out in the bay, be able to throw on top of the rig to take with us for camping and to fish out of. It needs to be a tandem set up so my 11 y/o can jump up front and go with me. I prefer one that is set up to receive rod holders and other fishing equipment. Does anyone have any experience in this area? All opinions and info will be considered. Thanks in advance!

Innova Sunny, they're hand made up in Bellingham WA.
I have 2 of them and love them, going on 6 years of use they still look new. Great fishing boat. 2 x 6' plus 200 lb guys can sit in one comfortably and fish. I have a 12V trolling motor on one of them.

Stable as an anything I've ever been in and tough as nails.
I've dragged them around on gravel for years and loaned them to countless friends for camping and never had to do a patch.
I don't care for sit on tops or traditional kayaks for fishing, way too tippy for me to relax and drink beer on. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
