Some of my lights are dimming out, especially on the side where is shows the gas gauge. Also, the dial that switches the vents is not lit like the fan dial and the temperature dial.
Can I change this by myself?

Those are good sites and I am finally getting around to changing it. Is it possible to replace the Map Light (Personal Light)? I am trying to get the bulb size but could not find it on google. I also would like to know how to replace or take apart the cover for the bulbs for the Map Light.

Call NAPA or the dealer and get the part number for the map light bulb. If you still have the owner's manual, the swap should be in there, as well as a part number.

If you have a Tacoma Prerunner 2003, the instruction is off a bit. It does not use #74 bulbs but have to special order from the dealership. It cost about $15 each and requires 3 instead of 2. It requires 4 #194 bulbs instead of 2. Take apart is almost identical. I bought the #194 from SuperBrightLED and it sell great blue. Don't bother changing the dome light. It is not as bright. You can change the instrument light color but cannot change the AC/FAN/Heat controls light color. My come with orange and it is already tinted like that.
