Advantage of 86 rear end?

Getting the Wheeling Fever

I've got the chance to nab, for pretty much free, the rear end out of an 86 or 87 4Runner. Since I'm rebuilding my suspension on my 85 RN66, and fooling around with all that stuff- would it be advantageous to use the 4Runner rear? I know its wider, with larger brakes and all, but what else? And- are the gear ratios the same as my stock 85? E-brake cables and all that? Thanks-
