Forgot to ask what year it is. The 97 to 99 XJ's needed to have the transfer case dropped about an inch with the 3" lift.

My older 91 was fine with 3" of lift and no transfer case drop.It fit 31" tires with room to spare on stock rims. The eariler model Cherokees seem to have a bit more clearance in the wheel wells too.

Wouldn't reccomend the Mickey Thompson MT's. Loud and you can't roatate them due to the directional tread pattern.
