Everet, Here are some pics of the factory Exhaust manifold from my 95. If you cut where my finger is on the third pic and weld on a header flange I think it will flow pretty good. The gasket where the down pipe bolts to the maniflod is already a standard header flange gasket. I would like to find an extra to try but save this one in case I mess it up . ![[Linked Image]](http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii29/upyourkia/IMGP0545.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii29/upyourkia/IMGP0546.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii29/upyourkia/IMGP0547.jpg) What do you think, Dennis

yeah dennis if you were to cut there and a nice clean collector 4 into 1 and then some slightly bigger exhaust back from there, it should work pretty good. i want one of those manifolds! that looks like it would be much better than the newer manifold set up

Dennis, Didn't Flyboy do something like that to his exhaust? 4-1 gives you more top end hp. 4-2-1 will give you more bottom end torque and mid-range. There are a few web sites that can help with lengths/sizes you might want to review because you get more torque with longer primary pipes usually. Let me know how it goes! Factory tube exhaust is stainless.
In my 2000, I had a bad upper cat, so I hollowed it out and put it on. It really cut down on the bottom end torque. I believe with the reduced back pressure, the low rpm torque is adversely affected. Didn't notice any positive performance from the increased flow. I am looking for a stock one like you got, put some longer runners on it and see if it improves the bottom end torque. Keep us posted on your progress. That is the factory exhaust manifold and it is cast iron, not stainless.

Factory tube exhaust is stainless. See my previous post. Or are you referring to the 1995 header?
