I replaced 2 cam seals, main seal, etc. was putting in water pump and major problems. 4 bolts are 10 mm heads. 1 stripped out and 3 others are turning to mush. fsm sez 17 lbs. torque this sucks. holes and bolts were clean but i did notice they all had soft looking sealant in them. 97 3.5 montero ls. with 145k. so i dont think orignal belt was in there it looks newish. what in the hell do i do now? i was careful with my torque wrench and am not sure the 3 others are mush yet but highly suspect they wont make it to 17 lbs, but all of the other 12 mm head ones are. i have some jb weld and am tempted to back the others out and lil dab will do me...or do me in? fsm has 2 bolts pictured. are the 10 mm bolts different...aint no way cuz it needs even pressure. didnt mitsi make the planes that bombed us? this fiasco of design has putridized my high. i went and got the revised crank bolt and greenville sc parts were dumb as dirt...all in all this making gtools and ordering stuff off ebay and then this is nonsense. i am getting sadistic.
