Class of '82 here.

Same here. I didn't go. I have no ties to anyone I went to high school with except my two younger brothers (a year behind me...they're twins) and any remainder of my family moved away from there long ago.

... I'm a class of '86 guy.....

Shoot, that's when I bought Ol' Blue off the lot in Tucson. I keep track of no one. Hated high school and was glad to leave it in the past. FWIW, I was a 3.8 GPA student, not some parking lot prowler.

The first person on the list was a old GF Some things need to stay in the past

well, you are right. Some things have to stay in the past.

One year ago I went to the Russian/Ukranian online classmates site. Naturally, I bumped into my old GF and my former fiancee. It's been 23 years since we parted out ways... I have to admit, she was/is the love of my life.

2008 year was extremely difficult for me. I went through the therapy, drugs, whatever. I had 5 overseas flights "for business" purposes.

Now I am divorced and I am totally financially ruined.

Good.

I am waiting for my former GF to come here to USA. I hope we can have a new life. And new family.

But I'd not advice to anybody going to the class reunions if you have an "unfinished business" in the past, and if you are an immature irresponsible weak person (like myself).

Wow, sorry to hear about that Holger. I can see how it could happen.

I've got a bunch of "ex's" as friends on FB, but my ex-wife is NOT one of them...wifey hasn't complained yet...it may be coming though.

You guys are old!

June will be 5 Years for me.. It's been such a long haul! For my generation facebook is a little different.. You can't hide from your past 'relationships,' everyone knows your business, but on the other hand it makes for a good solid laugh to see 10-15 breakups on valentines day.

ditto for me...May will be 5 years

I hated HS so there isn't much reason for me to go to reunions

Had a blast in HS. Best friend from 7th grade is still my bf.

Also learned a sister of one of my closest friends went to my HS and was my grade and new all of my close friends from then but I never met her, not once!! Wierd.

Most of my old friends are now married w/ kid(s).

An ex who I reconnected with there (now married) even tried to set me up w/ her younger sister who's still single. I'll leave the rest of that to your imagination.
