Oh, okay. That makes perfect sense. Though I have not looked into many automatics, I thought they generally used a switch on the TPS or near the gas pedal.

Most autos I have seen as far as toyotas go had the kickdown cable. Almost all the cars use the same basic throttle design as well under the hood.

As far as I know the throttle kickdown cable controls the pressure of the trans fluid. So this tighten it makes it harder and looser makes it softer when it shifts.
