I do still have my bag phone. My alarm clock is analog. It has 4 legs and her name is Millie. She wakes me at 5 whether I need it or not. Her job.

I once read the summary of a massive Brit study on the guys who watch gauges for a living. Thousands of hours of testing on dials and needles vs. numerical readouts (the study is so old they are talking we are talking about printed numbers on drums that you read thru windows), and the optimum for quick read and instant recognition of anomalous state was dial gauges about 1" in diameter.

And I'm kinda old school...

I used to drool thru the S-W and Autometer and Aircraft Spruce gauge catalogs. I always wanted to put an artificial horizon airplane gauge in place of the inclinometer...

Looking forward to the flashing gizmo. I don't stay glued to the gauges. I've been thinking about what to replace the worthless "inclinometer" with. I might as well change the oil pressure and voltmeter while I'm at it.

I put a direct reading oil pressure gauge in my daughter's Datsun 1200 (a long time ago). The tube split and the engine ground to a halt. Fortunately by that time she could afford to replace it.

I had a look at these gauges yesterday. They look cool and fit really nicely. I forgot to ask to see them working though...next time <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
