Getting the Wheeling Fever

All of a sudden my 91 pickup wont go into gear when running. However when shut down it will go into gear but when started again, it pulls right away even though the clutch is depressed. The clutch arm is moving but has no affect on disengaging the clutch. I am thinking the release bearing may have fallen out of the holder. Any thoughts on this?
