The simple solution:
Don't register, and keep your stuff secure when not in use.
Wow; friggin' wow. But hey, ain't this one of the 11 for the ammo accountability?

No joke! That's about as pointy-headed as it gets. It looks like they're trying to tie the gun owner to liability even after a weapon is stolen. If it's stolen and you don't know it (therefore don't report it as stolen), you could be liable for damages incurred by the thief as a result of his activity associated with the weapon.... That seems to be an extension of the belief that the weapon does the crime - not the shooter. I can see a narrow opportunity for a charge of "negligent ownership" in allowing a weapon to be left in the open and easy for someone to steal, but that's not the way I read this. Where is their law requiring liability insurance to be maintained on knives and vehicles that are not in service? I suspect many of those have been stolen with resulting damage to others without charging the owner. Yikes! Frank

huh? i know in recent years the constitution is the equivilant of butt wipe, but thats way over the top. it still amazes me that these aholes just dont get it, gun owners are the single largest voting block in the nation. what is it, 1 gun in ever other home of something like that? more guns are owned here than anywhere else in the world. the libs think they have the mandate for a full socialist takeover... but i think they under estimate the people. bail me out of my mortgage... sure. put food in my cubbord... great. make sure my 401k is idiot proof... awsome. force me to do something with/about my guns that god told me i would never have to do... excuse me, is that your tea?. i own, i havnt registered... i wont. from my cold dead hands. i want my country back .

They would have to put a gun to my head before I would register any of my guns. Then again, you point a gun at my head and I'm pointing 2 back.

How would you be using your unregistered guns - there will be no place to shoot ? Where you would get the ammo ? Would you really endanger the lives of your family members ? ("daddy is exploring the mountains for three years..." - your child will be explaining in the school).
