Oleg, StockRaider wouldn't be the only person who expresses that sentiment.
Besides, you live in Kali.
As the one Brit said in the YouTube film posted here earlier, the law-abiding citizen is easier to target.
I'm in the same camp as SR. I only have one registered firearm, and that was because I bought it in Michigan a light year or two ago- the only place it's registered.
Yo Brown! Yer in one of those 11 states chatting up the ammo accountibility law-- better pay attention! (see other thread)

they're trying to tie the gun owner to liability even after a weapon is stolen. So make sure all your guns are stolen. We are so retarded.

So make sure all your guns are stolen. You're suggesting to put yourself in the position of having to prove you stole a gun in order to not be charged with another crime? Let me think about that for a second...... um, NO. Frank

They would have to put a gun to my head before I would register any of my guns. Then again, you point a gun at my head and I'm pointing 2 back. so, if there would be a law that the unregistered gun possession is a felony, you would knowingly violate the law ? How would you be using your unregistered guns - there will be no place to shoot ? Where you would get the ammo ? Would you really endanger the lives of your family members ? ("daddy is exploring the mountains for three years..." - your child will be explaining in the school). I'm 23, no kids yet. Besides, I think any kids I eventually might have would gladly say "dad is in jail for trying to protect the rights that were taken away from the country a few years ago.

What a thread!?!?!?! The right to bear arms in this country is what makes it so great. I live in Bath Indiana and I can go outside right now and unload a fully loaded shotgun and theres nothing anyone can do about it. My neighbors tried and the cops did show up but said theres nothing they could do about it because there are no gun laws in Bath.

As far as the reason to not register a gun, it goes something like this....
If the gun is registered and they decide to take the guns, they will be knocking on your door asking for your guns that are registered. If you can't produce them, they will likely search your house to find them. In the end, your registered guns are gone.
If you have an unregistered gun, most people aren't going to carry them out in public or in the woods or whatever. The number one reason is going to be self defense of one's family at the home.
If a burglar comes into their home and has a weapon and that person uses an unregistered weapon to kill them in self defense, he may go to jail...just like that fella in Britain...but at least his family will be alive.
I have no problem seeing the logic in that thinking. Of course, this is all just theory.
I would never, ever, ever violate the law myself.
Nope...not me.
