Need a Spot
Ouch, those are expensive, when mine go, I'll buy a Solid and do the swap, haha:)

Better start brushing up on my welding, cause my ride has 196k on it...

General question about ball joints -- have yours always come complete as a "set" with a new castle nut and cotter pin? When I have purchased new ball joints and tie rods for the 4Runner in the past, I typically bought aftermarket parts from an "Import Parts Warehouse" that has good prices and the quality is good. They always included all the nuts and parts associated with the replacement. Does Toyota typically do that too?

I was just shocked this past weekend when I bought some OEM Honda parts (ball joints and tie rods) and NONE of them included the castle nuts or cotter pins. You have to order those separately. Since they are often rusted and possibly also damaged from the separation process, I can't imagine why they wouldn't assume those should be replaced at the same time.
