Or just use an 1/8"npt tap to ream the BSPT threads a touch so the NPT sender threads will start. It's a tpaer thread and the pitch is VERY close, so your new BSPT sender will still fit. Or you could get an NPT die and turn the taper on the npt fitting down a tad for the same effect. It's how I fitted my autometer fitting on the 2.6T.
