Not sure why I have not thought of this before but I work with CAD (computer aided drafting) software for a living and figured that if anyone has hand sketched drawings of mods that they are building or are wanting to build I could draw them up so that you have a nice clear drawing.

Just a thought.

What programs are you using and do you know how to set the lead in and lead out lines for CNC plasma, laser and waterjet? I mean we could get pretty technical with this. We could also do blueprints so that fab shops will know what to do for guys who cant explain it in shop terms.

I use Pro/engineer 99% of the time but I have access to AutoCAD at home. Pro/Engineer is a 3D mechanical modeling and engineering package. Usually I don't have to set lead in or out lines for CNC plasma cutters for the vendors that I work with.. at least they have never asked for it. Usually they just ask for flat patterns in DXF format that they generate their G-code from.

Yes, I can do full sets of blue prints that a fab shop can use. And, since they would be in full 3D I can create any view from any angle that would need to be seen.

You're the man! i bet the shops draw their own lead in and out lines or it's not a big deal for their parts to have a little variation from where the cut started.

I'd love to see a genII rear bumper, that includes the corners to cover the missing pieces from the end caps.

Although he did say we needed drawings first. We'd all better get busy, fellas! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Guys, guys... I don't believe he said he would design them for you. He's willing to clean up your designs so that someone who knows how to read plans can have an easier time building what you want. The design part is still on your shoulders, not his.

edit: Phil beat me to it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
