I use Pro/engineer 99% of the time but I have access to AutoCAD at home. Pro/Engineer is a 3D mechanical modeling and engineering package. Usually I don't have to set lead in or out lines for CNC plasma cutters for the vendors that I work with.. at least they have never asked for it. Usually they just ask for flat patterns in DXF format that they generate their G-code from.

Yes, I can do full sets of blue prints that a fab shop can use. And, since they would be in full 3D I can create any view from any angle that would need to be seen.


I miss PRO E .... Current job its Solid Works. Works pretty well but I was brought up on PRO E.
