I am in search of a new coolant outlet fitting for the 3.5L SOHC Engine on a 99 Montero. Dealers everywhere say it is not available anymore. Has anyone got a way to get parts that dealers say are not around anymore? The part number is: MD332667 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

not totally sure if they are all the same, I would think the 97-00 monteros all had this same part; mine is a 99. it has two different temperature sensors screwed into it. the fitting has 3 openings, one that uses an O ring that connects to a solid metal pipe that goes towards the rear of the engine, the other opening is out the bottom down to the t-stat housing, and the third opening is the upper radiator hose connection.

what I don't understand is, car companies always talk up how wonderful their product is and how it will last you for a long time and has longevity, but how can one keep a vehicle well maintained if they stop making parts for them? I know this vehicle is now 10 years old, but wasn't it designed to last a long time? why would you stop making parts for it after only 6 years??? It only has 80k miles on it and has many more miles left in it.

there has to be a source or a way to get parts from overseas. someone has got to have a hook up somehow. we have folks on here in different countries, can anyone get that part (part number above) from an international source?

scott i'll be talking with a dealer in Oz this month or start of next month they have more parts avalible still cause pajeros are more common there, i have a speedo gear i need to order to adjust for my 35's and can't get it here anymore.

yeah, I am not worried about price, but even though they have some parts listed, I called them and they can't get it. Any sources are welcome, I will pay whatever is required and if more than one source comes through with the part, I don't mind getting 2 or 3 just to have and since folks are helping out.

also, if getting from a part yard, if possible please get the bleed bolt and the bolt that holds the wiring harness brackets on top of the engine. it is a 12mm hex head.

if its interchangable with a diamante 3.5 sohc (doubt it) i have 2
