Getting the Wheeling Fever
im at the point where i cant drop too much money inåo it.
between the $400 tow bill, the $150 on a fuel pump, $100 for the ign ctrl module, $40 for the coil its just getting to much.
rockauto wants $300 for a damn dizzy.
is it possible to just replace the sensor?
if so where can i get it for a decent price.
also where might i get the ecu relay?
and does anyone have an MD146946 ecu for sale?

The same Relay is used in all Japanese 3.0 applications - look for a 90-97 Hyundai Sonata , 92-96 Diamante SOHC,
The relay is like 65 bucks online dealers.

The Module and disc cost like 275. , might as well get the whole Dizzy.
The module , if you haven't seen one is a white chuck of plastic with a disc with tiny slots cut in it. The disc sits between a couple red leds that tell the ecu what's going on with TDC and ? that burn out after about 20 years.
You are supposed to get a code for TDC defect and another code for the other thing the module does...I need some coffee.
Did you take the lid odd the MPI relay???

What about just going to the junkyard and grabbing the Dizzy? I have to check the price of the one in my local yard. With any luck he might let it go for a few bucks.

-- just called and he said if the engine really does have a bad rod like I told him he will sell me the dizzy and a few other parts. I will get back to you Monday about that.

The Pull-A-Part near me has a 91. Pretty sure the dizzy was still on it two weeks ago. No one here really goes for Montero parts. I might be going Monday. I want to grab the cruise control stuff. Looks like ~$20 for the dizzy.
