After doing a search and reading the recent threads I am ready to get a Magnaflow muffler. I have spoken to several shops and I get various ways of installing it and now I'm a bit confused. One shop said I can just cut my old muffler out and they would weld in a new one using my factory pipes. Stainless tip would be extra. Their total cost would be about $250. The next shop I spoke to said they would replace the muffler and tailpipe. They said if they didn't do it this way they there would be problems with condensation in the muffler. They said it would sit at a weird angle. Their total cost was $320 not including a stainless tip. I want to keep a 2.25 diameter. So what do you guys think? I would like to do this on this coming Monday. Also, I am in Denver right now near Cherry Creek so if any of you know some good, trustworthy muffler shops in the area, please let me know. Thanks!
