And on that note, what ever became of Bob Shaw? Haven't heard from him in a coon's age.

How about Grandpa Bill?

I almost forgot about the Land's End Expedition. Toasty has his phone number, just in case you want to take it back up with him. I'll bet he still has plans...

I keep in touch with Lloyd, I have Onsail's welder, and I'm doing the welding EricD's SAS. JohnnyB has the famous EricD for sale ad which he should post up for old times.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Thanks guys smile Had a lot of fun reading this thread. Too bad so many of the 'oldies' have gone on to other things, though I guess I'm guilty of that myself. Been a wild few years.
I do have one question off the bat, did LLoyd ever get his expedition to Amazon off the ground?

No, Seer, he did not. I'll bet he could keep you on the phone for a couple of hours if you gave him a call and asked him about it, though.

Wow! Nice to hear you're back. What have you been up to?

As for Lloyd, yes, I talk with him at least monthly.

Lots of good memories. Even the not so good ones (stupid online disagreements) have mellowed with the passage of time.

You know some threads just need to be revisited every now and then
Yeah a lot of the oldies have left the board, but its amazing how many are still here plus all the new guys:) Old Monty owners never die, they just fade away,,, and sometimes reappear at the least expected moments:)

For all you oldies, I'm going to be driving my latest 95SR from Arkansas up to the california/oregon border where...wait for it...LOL, i'll be opening a casino show which will run from Oct 3 or so on thru first week of January. I dunno if I ever mentioned that one of my hobbies was being an entertainer, knowing me, i probably did:) Anyway, going to be at the Seven Feathers Casino Lounge, in the evenings, so if you are passing thru, stop in and i'll buy you a drink:) Oh, in that "life" i'm known as "morgan james"..go figure heheheh. Show's called "The Four Tenors". I'll be rolling out next week sometime, have to be there for rehearsal the 29th. Haven't decided on route yet, watching the weather. Maybe I'll get a chance to wave at some of you on the way there. Going to be interesting to see what southern oregon has to offer during the winter, ergo the new SR

Still love this thread! Glad you're back Seer. You should tell BigBlue when you're gonna be nearby... he once went looking for you at a club you were playing back in the day, but couldn't find you...

Seems like we have no DougX's these days. Even reliable DougB rarely posts. DougM got himself a TLC, and DougH bought himself a house!

Many new posters now, and I don't know the half of them, but all the ones I've met over the years have been class acts. I hope I meet some more someday!
