2.5 quarts? Thats all? Thats not even a full oil change...before oil change...its fine! On a serious note though it seems to me that swapping from carb to efi is a fairly big project, especially without a donor vehicle. Collecting all of the necessary parts and wiring could be a pain. That said if you have a junkyard nearby then it might not be that bad if they have a vehicle that you could get all of the parts from, especially if they'll pull them off for you. The nicest thing about having a donor vehicle is being able to look at where the parts are installed and where the wires go, beats a wiring diagram anyday.
