Well, I fixed it.

Parts: 2 caps and a little solid core insulated wire

Total cost: $6.35

Tools needed:
30W Soldering iron
Rosin core solder
Desoldering Braid
Suction desoldering tool
2 caps

Time spent: 35 min.

I cleaned the carnage left by the two offending caps, added a little solder to the remaining pins, desoldered and cleaned, carefully added the caps and a small wire jumper to the stripped PCB.

My 93 2nd Gen is running right now without a hitch. I'm praying it works.

Here are some pix of the job. Not the cleanest jumper, cuz the insulation melted a little, but as long as it works. On the bottom, the tools I used.

Thanx to everyone that posted on this thread, and feel free to ask away on how to do this, since it's relatively easy and about $250 cheaper than buying a refurb ECM, even if you need to buy all the tools.
