i have a 91 isuzu and lately my truck has been reveing from 1ooorpm to 2000rpm only when i put the clutch in if i give the gas a small tap it will idle out to 1000 can anybody tell me why and what i have to change this truck has a 2.6 engine when i first bought this truck it worked perfect then i was taking my wife to work and it would not go up a hill unless i shiftted down a gear then that is when i noticed the idle going up and down i tapped the throttle and it idled out

Welcome to the 'Wire!
First off, can you give us a little more info on the truck, particularly what engine it has in it?
Is this something that's just started happening? Have you had the truck for a while and this is new, or is the truck new to you and you're trying to get acquainted with it. We'd love to help, but the more info the easier it'll be to get down to what's going on.
