The spacers were for a Sequila, Sequola... A Toyota. I didn't know there were Mitsu ones. Even if there are, I have a feeling the Toyota one's are allot cheaper.

I have not cut my bumpstops and I keep throwing inner CV boots. that inner joint is at a pretty mean angle, that was a BIG reason for the manual hubs. I probably should cut my upper bump-stops, as it sits on level ground there is only 1/4" room between them and the control arm haha. Maurie I still think air-bags are your best bet...you can keep your ride quality in town and when loaded with all your gear and you can level it out. If you get a spring spacer it will still sit low when you load it down. unless you want it to be raked in the back 90% of the time and have it squat to level out when you put your camping gear in.

I may have missed it but did you check out OME springs? They raised my truck in the back about 3" as it had sagged so bad. They come in medium and hard spring rates. I picked the Mediums as I don't tow and noticed huge improvements in ride quality, steering predictability, and traction. Of course new springs in general will do that over old crusty ones but the point being, my ride is good and not harsh in any way. It will probably be at least tolerable in a shorty.

I looked into the OME springs. I was thinking the mediums would be the way I'd go, but I'm affraid of being the first guy to try it.
I decided to experiment with the cheapest alternative first (seems to be the most cost effective way of doing things). I've picked up some 1.5" spacers from canadian tire $11.99 each). I'm going to put them under the spring (against the axle) and see what happens. If I get the desired lift without compromising the ride then I'll stick with spacers, otherwise I'll be looking for other options.

careful putting spacers on a shorty. Max ujoint angle is about 4.5 degrees at 4000 rpm. You really are at your max at hwy speeds, with 4.88 gears. Your u joints and tranfer case output bushing's will wear faster than you may want....

Thanks for the Tip! I'll Have to measure it after I have them in. Maybe I won't be able to lift as much as I originally wanted. What is the angle at stock height?

12 bucks is definitely the cheep way to go. I think my springs were about a 100 a piece.

Sure do. It was way more fun to drive that the new jeep. My truck was at the 4.5 degree limit already......
