Sounds a bit like my fuel pump before it died completely, although I never had any codes show, so quite possibly its an electrical issue. If you don't have it, go snag the PowerTrainDiagnostics manual here: manuals, etc.

It has the no-start and driveability tests in it, and should help you diagnose this issue. If you want to read about what my fuel pump was doing, do a user search on my user name (89IsMine), sometime back around November 2006.
