PAUL All you typed is NORMAL!! When turning all 4 wheels turn in a different circle. So one or more MUST slide to get the axles turning at the same speed.
What you learned is to NEVER use 4x4 on dry hard streets. The result can be disaster and permanent.
When on slick or muddy ground the tires slide as they are supposed to and you don't feel the binding but they are still doing the same thing they do on dry hard streets.
When thinking of purchaseing a 4x4 my test to see if the thing is working is to go to a parking lot and put it in 4 wheel and turn in a tight circle.. If it DON'T jump and hump I know it doesn't work!!
