Big Bear? No. Still a couple of months out on this one.

The D60 is to hold up behind the V8 and with 37" tires on military beadlocks (current setup) with possible future size upgrades. While I don't envision going larger than 37s now, that may change in the future and I don't want to lay down the cash again. That said, I got both D60s (front and rear) for less than a D44 front would cost with beefed shafts to make it as strong. I also went with the newer Ford axles, in particular, for the disc brakes in the rear. I could've gone with a 8 on 6.5 from any old truck out there in the front and a 14 bolt or 60 rear, but I would've had to change out the drums in the rear. The cost of conversion made this the logical choice all around. Besides all that, I always wanted a set of 60s, had the chance, so I went with it.

If anyone is interested in two sets of 4.88 gears or Detroit lockers for D44s, please let me know. I have two of each that I bought for my previous axles. Trying to recoup some funds for use on other upgrades...
