Big Bear? No. Still a couple of months out on this one.
The D60 is to hold up behind the V8 and with 37" tires on military beadlocks (current setup) with possible future size upgrades. While I don't envision going larger than 37s now, that may change in the future and I don't want to lay down the cash again. That said, I got both D60s (front and rear) for less than a D44 front would cost with beefed shafts to make it as strong. I also went with the newer Ford axles, in particular, for the disc brakes in the rear. I could've gone with a 8 on 6.5 from any old truck out there in the front and a 14 bolt or 60 rear, but I would've had to change out the drums in the rear. The cost of conversion made this the logical choice all around. Besides all that, I always wanted a set of 60s, had the chance, so I went with it.
If anyone is interested in two sets of 4.88 gears or Detroit lockers for D44s, please let me know. I have two of each that I bought for my previous axles. Trying to recoup some funds for use on other upgrades... /shameless plug for my junk

Thanks they wont fit....your only choice is 5.29s from a diesel truck overseas...but they cost over $1000 to get them shipped into the US

They'll fit into the full width D44 that I've got for them to go in. Let me know if you want to do a solid axle swap on that rig. I have someone that'll probably to the work. It just so happens that the axle/gears/locker are also in his possession.
Otherwise...no. Sorry.

Hey Nick. Those SW hubs are still yours after I pick up my truck from my friends place. I have 1 Dana 44 brand new axle that has never been run from a 70's F250. I bought it from an older gentleman, it was sold to a younger gentleman by a turd who had access to my stuff while stationed overseas, and I bought it back when I got home. It has still never been installed in a truck. The older guy had it in his garage for 20 years. I don't have a rear axle, but that should be easy enough to find on CL. The choices are better near you...
I also have 2 sets of Yukon 4.88s with install kits and Detroit lockers that I bought from Randy's in WA and they are still brand new in the box.
I paid $450 for the axle (with Warn premium hubs) the first time and $350 the second time (still makes me sick when I think about it). I paid $570 each for the Detroits, $140 each for the install kits and $200 or $240 each for the gear sets (I can't remember now) plus shipping. I remember the total being around $1700.
So, with that info, please make me a reasonable (non-low ball) offer and I'll hook you up. I don't expect to get all of my money back, but don't want to get raped ond $2100 worth of stuff either. I CAN use the money for something else I'd REALLY like to put in the build, though, so please by all means, send me a PM and let me know.
