that sucks what is holding you up,the strut mount or the sway bar? if the short cut isnt working maybe the lower control arm should come off too then use the jack to put it back in.

After i couldn't make it work i had a buddy of mine give it a go who specializes in custom lifts and fabrication. He tried for hours and concluded there flat out wasn't enough lwr control arm movement to make it work. The strut/fork assy is bound against the drive axle with 1" still to go!! Then, even if somehow you were able to pry it together, how would you ever service your susp?? There is some speculation that Monroe struts (brand i purchased) are bigger than stock but i ain't buyin it. Unfortunately i tossed my old struts before the problem so i have nothing to compare to. So like my wife always says, I guess I'll have to settle for 3" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

NOPE!

If u lower it....u better have the right size of shims to support the faulty error rate of angle in suspension as well as caster/camber issues to be corrected....

.....if not then kiss ur tires goodnight!

What exactly happened with the LIFT?

If you're asking how big the spacer is, it's 2".

My lift turned into a relative nightmare, too. 100K of Ohio driving on salty roads turned most of my front end into a rusted hulk. I got the rear in without too much issue, but after I determined I didn't have all the right tools necessary to do the front, I took it to a shop.

They ended up having to replace the upper control arms and struts. I already knew I needed struts as one of them was leaking. Then to do the alignment, they had to replace the inner and outer tie rod ends and sleeves. They also pulled the lower control arms off entirely to put in my spacers.

Cost me a heckuva lot more than I was planning on to do this lift, but I now have a new front end given that I just had a new driveshaft, hubs and halfshafts installed under warranty from Kia. Goes well with the new fuel tank and lines I put in a month or so back.

Now I just need to trim my wheel arch to get the 31" tires to clear. I was planning on just going with 235/75/15 on stock rims but found a good deal on some Centerlines with 31's already installed, so....

01 Convertible; Electric Fan; 3" Up Your Kia lift spacers; Tj 104's; 31x10.5x15's on Centerlines; Rear LSD.
GONE, all I have left are a few spare parts and the wheels.
