You will find a 3.308 in the back of a 3000GT VR4 with a 6 speed. That is 94 & newer. I do not know of the 2.86 in the 8" axle over here. I have not seen anything taller than the 3.54 in a truck.
I have only seen the 8" in the back of the 4 cylinders here. There were smaller axles overseas.

So if these would fit in a 4cyl truck housing, they should all so fit in the Starion housing correct? I should have said the recipiant would be the starion.

Fast Eddie, you have a good point. Taller tires would work fine on a 2wd truck. We were talking about this over on a Starion site. We are a little limited how tall we can go on the stock rim and still maintain the withe needed to put the power to the ground. In my case i am already running over sized Drag radials in the summer. The guys on stock 24.88 tires could go up to a 26" tire
