Hey jeep to Raider, i moved to Kauai 8 years ago from Auburn area. Cali smog checks drove me nuts. We don't have them over here! I used to go to Truckee for my smog checks. They were way cooler about helping get my 4x4 passed then anyone down in town. Just an idea. Good Luck!

You moved to the island of kauai?!? Nice, it's so beautiful there. I'll check it out, but the simple fact of the matter is I need to find someone who can rebuild the carb or I am going to need to buy a new one:(

I had one of those Mikuni carbs rebuilt years ago. It was/is in a Dodge Colt wagon (built by Mitsubishi).

We needed the carb rebuilt, so, of course, we took it to the Dodge dealer. They got that "deer in the headlights" look, and said, "We can't do that. We have no idea, it's too complicated." It ended up that there were only two places in the Santa Clara valley which knew how to rebuilt that Mikuni.

We took it to Ace Fuel, here in San Jose. I think they're still around.

Haha, I went to the dodge dealer to ask them some questions. All the guy said to me was we claim no responsibilty for anything having to do with that car. turns out you can get all the parts at a mitsu. dealer, altho they know nothing about the car.
