The Amish go all day Sunday. If you think about it, only spending an hour worshipping on Sunday is pretty lame, in the grand scheme of things...IF you're a worshiper. :-D I blew off church a couple weeks ago to race my dirtbike. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

A few years ago I had an interesting meeting at a race track. We rent a gocart track in New York State up on the St Lawrence River. This weekend was when I showed up with my Turbo Hayabusa powered tubeframe car. Bloody fast little thing.
On getting to town early on Friday before the track owner could get there to open the gate we stopped in the village for some eats. While we drove in I was getting the eye from an Amish gent driving his buggy out of the village.
When we were in the store I saw he had returned and had pulled up next to my trailer. Here my thoughts were how he must hate such useless excesses in life.
The next morning with the event going on at the track we look up on the ridge above the old sand pit the track was built it and saw the silhouette of him on his horse and buggy, up there watching us play on the track.
That evening we were back in the village for dinner and as conversations rolled around with the locals, we learned that Amish gent has an offshore performance boat that he cruises the St Lawrence on. Interesting bit that I did not expect.

Cheers, Charlie
