Transmission and transfer case should remain the same. You will need the computer and wiring harness from the donor to make things easier. Drive shaft length may need to be changed. I think motor mounts are the same for both engines. Advance Adapters should have info what you need. http://www.advanceadapters.com/

Front and rear "chunk"????
If you are in reference to the differential gears, no.

John The trannys aren't interchangable. He will need the 6 cylinder tranny also. And lots of wiring and all the externals on the 6 cylinder. His axle gearing is most likely 4:11 and will be great for the 6 cylinder with oversize tires. Big JIm

If you are going to swap trannies anyway, go with a T18 or NV4500 or NP435 so you have granny gear. That saves buying 4:1 kits.

Bowfisher under almost all circumstances, you would be a lot better off trading off your 4 cylinder and purchasing a 6 cylinder ride. You will need EVERYTHING. Radiator, exhaust system, tranny, engine, computer, wiring, and things I cannot think of offhand. Except in certain special cases, I'd say shy away from that particular swap. I bought this jeep last spring from an old man who used it to ride around his cattle fences and once he got done he parked it back under the garage. It has not one piece of rust and everything is in perfect condition. I just could not pass up the deal on a great buy. Now im just wanting some more power.

Then what I'd do is give someone else a great deal and go get me one I REALLY liked. Without spending a huge amount of time, money and effort you are pretty much stuck with what you have. Big Jim
