A friend got into a similar situation. He bought a cherry 91 YJ with 4 cylinder and 5 peeed AX5 and was disatisfied with the power. He wanted to run 31" tires. I installed 4.88 gears for him and now he can actually use 5th gear for most of his hiway driving. Our highways have a bunch of ups and downs here. If it wasn't for that 4.56 would be fine.
