I flew into an abandoned WWII airfield near Greenville once in a B-25.. As I remember the terrain it is rather hilly and a beautiful place.
As is written above I'd be for the 4:88 gears. If you put them in there you will have a bunch more power. You might even start swearing by the 4 cylinder.
What the change will be..you will be able to drop the clutch from a stop without dragging it to get going.. You will be able to leave it in gear #5 on the hiway. You will also be able to "feel" more horsepower at all rpm.
