Born in Yakima as my bio says.......Glad to hear from a fellow Washing-tonian

Nice, but way to Buku for most budgets...
Used to live in Tacoma and I am surprised that the exahust component would cost that much
Nice work though on the research area .......

Right back at you, my Dad was based in Paso Robles California where I was born. We later moved to the Seattle area where I was raised and we love it here.

If the Australian Company has communication issues we certainly cannot trust them. The problem with Stans is that in order to produce the first prototype for our Sportages, it will cause an incredible amount of time and material to perfect! Typically they would absorb this expense knowing there's a large market to recoup their investment. In this case I'm the first person to approach them on a vehicle that is 7 yrs no longer produced. Actual pricing per Header should not be too bad, it's just the fabrication cost that hurts!! I'm still going to meet with them in the next couple of weeks and have them put their eyes on the project and see what happens. I may bite the bullet myself and play middle man for the product. I'll post my thoughts after I meet with them. Again, I can't say enough about their products and they back it up as well!

i have sent that company many emails about there headers trying to find out how to purhase it and how much shipping would be to canada and have never once heard back from them.

if a company cant even give a simple email response back to a potential customer , even if it is a sorry we do not sell internationally email, then they are not a company worth dealing with in my opinion.

especially if something were to be wrong with the product once it actually arrived i would have no faith they would do anything about it with that much lack of communication.

I have sent an email to head office which is based in Queensland Australia. If I do not revcieve a reply I will contact them by phone to try and find out some information for you all. Here is the extract that I sent via email.

Good Afternoon Sir/Maam,

I am contacting you on behalf of a forum website based in America 4x4 wire.com under the sub heading of Kia Sportage and Sorento Tech. This is a link to the particular site. http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=UBB70 . A number of the people using this site are very interested in obtaining information and possible purchase of your headers that you produce for the Kia Sportage.

There has been some disappointment that a number of members have tried to make contact with your company via email but have not received any acknowledgement or reply. The Kia Sportage has a reasonable following in America and there is a potential for a number of sales of your product for the Sportage over there.

Would you be able to reply to this email please with some of the following information?

Do you have a supplier or Rep based in America that the forum would be able to contact?
Would you be able to export to America and what would the approximate cost be?
If a member would like to purchase a set of headers from you via email or phone how can they go about it with transfer of funds, shipping insurance, etc?

I have mentioned your company a couple of times on this site advising them of a possible fix for their dilemmas. The Kia Sportage does not have a lot of aftermarket support around the world and when we do find aftermarket products we like to advise our members that there is a off the shelf solution available.

Appreciate your time and help with this enquiry?

Regards Chris Bainrot

Genie produces a quality product here in Australia and has been in business for a very long time. (usual blurb don't have any ties with the company etc). I have used their headers on a number of vehicles that I have owned and found them to be of very good quality. I have not actually used the 'wildcat' brand before.

Hopefully we will be able to get some answers for you all, with luck it will be good news and a workable and affordable solution.

cheers, Chris

This is the reply I have sent back to Genie.

Hello Brad,
Thank you very much for your timely reply. I have posted this up on the website for the forums info. Hopefully you will receive some enquiries from the US and Canada.
Cheers Chris

Chris, thanks for all your assistance on this. I will certainly check them out before I make a huge investment with Stans. I know, maybe I can talk Stans into buying one of their products to use as a template?? Hmmmmmmmmm, that takes all the risk off my shoulders and a ton of expense as well! I'll report what I come up with & hopefully it will work for everyone interested in a header.
