I will be the guinea pig to make sure the application is completely correct and then post my opinion for the rest to view.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
One other possibility is a cam regrind from Delta Camshaft I put their torquer cam in my Subaru wagon - made a really big difference - woke that engine up! I'm planning on doing that to my Sportage and Subaru XT6.

I would be a bit careful on this one as you may find the ignition mapping will not suit the new cam overlap angles. Could idle like a pig, or not rev out well. Our ECU is not easy to re-map...

maybe if you can order a few headers all at once in a group buy we can get a better deal.

I found out yesterday that Stans has done everything but a Sportage and the prototype would cost me around $2K! I would need to know how many of you out there would seriously be interested in a header application before I make that kind of investment. Of course after the initial header is perfected & ready for production, the pricing would be what you would expect it to be. I'm going to take my rig down there so they can look it over and get a visual of the design needed and see what happens. In the mean time, please send me a pm so i have an idea of how many may be interested in this. I have personally used their headers and many others, there's no comparison!

Guys,

I've posted before about this. An Australian company Genie already makes headers or extractors for the Sportage. they cost around $300-$350. Why go to the expense when the product is already available. they are Genies budget version of their product called Wildcat. this a copy out of their catalogue
KIA

This is alink to their website in Australia

I was unaware of the previous post, Do you have any personal experiences with this product? Stan's doesn't build your run of the mill header but I wasn't prepared to spend $2k just to have one either. I'll definitely check this out and thanks for possibly saving me some serious $!!

problem for most of us is we're not in aus. its like the gears sold in greece. or the locker on that asian site. and the power chip. it would be nice to have a product for the kia on this side of the lake

i have sent that company many emails about there headers trying to find out how to purhase it and how much shipping would be to canada and have never once heard back from them.

if a company cant even give a simple email response back to a potential customer , even if it is a sorry we do not sell internationally email, then they are not a company worth dealing with in my opinion.

especially if something were to be wrong with the product once it actually arrived i would have no faith they would do anything about it with that much lack of communication.

Nice, but way to Buku for most budgets...
Used to live in Tacoma and I am surprised that the exahust component would cost that much
Nice work though on the research area .......
