Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Rate Thread Oil filter adaptor bolt cross threaded? #938242 03/31/09 04:14 PM Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 95 L ldrdl OP Getting the Wheeling Fever I tried to remove the T60 bolt for my oil filter adaptor to replace the gasket the other day and I could NOT get it loose. I put a snap on 12mm wrench around the T60 and used a pipe for extra leverage and the only thing that happened was I damaged my wrench. The only thing I can think of is that maybe its cross threaded?! anyone know for sure? Re: Oil filter adaptor bolt cross threaded? You might put a wrench on it and applying 60/80 pounds of pull hit the wrench with a hammer.. The hammer blows will prolly break it loose.
