It should be an improvement even with strait co2. I tried it with co2 but the spatter was still noticeable. Of course this was with a ReadyWelder II that attached to batteries. I just could never dial it in to weld properly. It might of been the ReadyWelder that was the problem though.

Update:
I finally got started on the passenger side fender. This one should go a lot smoother from the lessons learned from doing the driver side.

I drilled the rear and front brackets and welded the top and bottom tubes in place. I also welded the top plate to the tubes. This plate required some modifications due to the fuse box and the battery.

I am off to Dallas to visit the King Tut exhibit on Saturday. Will continue working on the fender next week.
