Body Damage is Cool
Folks,

Been a while since I've posted.

I was driving the 4 runner around the place today, pulling stumps. Took a break for lunch, came back, tried to start it...it stumbled once. The engine is turning, but no start. I left the key on and cracked the fuel line banjo bolt on the intake manifold...no gas. I put 2.5 gallons in, still no gas coming out at the bolt. I put a voltage meter on the power plug for the fuel pump...no current. Shouldn't I be seeing 12 volts there with the key on?

Here's a recent pic...

Only have power to the pump if the Air FLow Meter flap is open, or you install the fuel pump test jumper:

OK, did the diag jumper. There is power going to the fuel pump, I checked it at the pump connector. I cracked the banjo bolt on the manifold open and turned on the key ( with the jumper still in place ) and no fuel.<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> That sounds like a sick fuel pump. What do you think?

J

Sounds like your right.

Last thing you can do is run a jumper from the battery directly to the fuel pump and see if it comes on. Then you'll know for sure.

Luckily theres a panel under the rear seat to access the pump. Just be careful removing the bolts, they break off easy.

If I'm on the right site (URDUSA.COM ) they don't have one for a 22RE.
