mine has definately been to operating temp and still runs great...it cleans up the engine bay and gives more flow, just try and see,it works...originally i used the stock rubber intake tube but mine was cracked pretty bad so i did it this way, besides on a cai u dont want to used a ribbed hose that causes restriction too, so if u want to move it farther away from headers try to fab something without the ribs...glad to see it at least has people talking, well off to work now, time to sell some auto parts
