The pathy uses 31 spline axles, the X uses 33 spline, so it would be a downsize in strength(and there have been people who have broke the 31 spline....and they break at the spline). The other way i think requires pressing the pathy bearing off the pathy axle and press is onto the X axle shaft.....but there has been some conflicting info on this(bearing diameters are different, etc..).
