We had a round of posts a short while ago on Mitsu axles, lockers, coils versus leaf, etc. In that thread I asked about the notion of difficulty in fitting an SR axle to a leaf-sprung SWB, as for where I am, finding an SR locker would be much easier than an MS locker.

Curtis of course was quick to respond along the lines of "hell yes, do it and let us know how it works out."

I looked under my 95 last week, and also the SWB. Looks to me to be pretty damned easy to set up the SR axle for the SWB. Or more to the point, it looks to be much easier that building some Franken-Mitsu-stein axle out of pieces-parts. Looks to me like you might even spend more time grinding off the coil hardware than you'll spend fabbing the leaf pads (or whatever their proper name is).

FWIW...

Now if only I had looked before the Pull-A-Part scrapped the 95 SR they had. I could have locked the SWB for ~$200 and some time.
