The TJ I have now seemed to have seats that were lower than I liked for hunting and general offroad viewing.. It also hade extra room over my head inside the hard top..
I took a stick of 2X2X1/4" and cut 4- 2 inch lengths off of it. Then I drilled a hole in the middle of each to allow a bolt to go thru it. Then I pulled the 4 bolts holding each seat to the floor and replaced each of them with a similiar bolt 2 inches longer.. I now have a comfortable ride.
I am sitting up straight and can see all around.. Also there is still plenty of head room.
