Adam, FWIW, my 85 4Runner only fits a 33" tire tucked all the way up between the frame rails. Then again, my spare tire mount was relocated ABOVE the frame rails, not flush.

I believe the tire carrier for sale is the tailgate mounted carrier. Not underneath.
